twt.sy
Twt.sy was a "Twitter syndication tool" and url-shortening service that I wrote in Ruby on Rails. The application allowed users to hook up an unlimited number of Twitter accounts to their twt.sy account. Users could tweet to all of their Twitter accounts at once, view graphical statistics of the actions that their accounts and tweets received, and view geographical statistics of their followers and visitors in both map and list format.
Another cool feature of twt.sy was that you could add RSS feeds to your twt.sy account and then opt to have items from that RSS feed tweeted to your Twitter accounts. You could specify a time interval for the server to check the RSS feed for new items and when new items were available they would be automatically tweeted to the Twitter accounts that you hooked up to the feed. In retrospect this was a controversial feature. If a news website wanted to have their newest articles auto-tweeted to their accounts this feature would be useful, but it also made it easy to create spam Twitter accounts.
Twt.sy is no longer online. I am guessing that when Twitter switched to OAuth the app was no longer able to allow users to connect multiple Twitter accounts to one twt.sy account which was a core feature of twt.sy.
