Car Internet Radio is the iOS application for Livio Radio. It provides users with streaming access to more than 45,000 AM/FM and Internet-only radio stations.
I took over the development of CIR after version 1.x was released. In version 2.0, I brought the original iPhone application to the iPad, worked on numerous UI and stability improvements, and developed new features including an improved audio player. I also brought the English version of the app to 18 new languages.
CIR is powered by radiotime. One neat feature of the app is that it is capable of converting foreign audio formats (i.e. wma) into formats that iOS can recognize. This was an important feature because many of the audio streams are in formats that iOS cannot playback.
